AKC CGC Canine Good Citizen Testing (video CGC test link)
Pet Therapy this class is a must, obtain a AKC-CGC Title for your dog, or if you just want to improve your dog’s obedience commands.
Time: Monday, March 9th
7 pm to 8 pm at the Nassau Humane Society
Or
Time: Wednesday, April 1
6:30 to 7:30 pm at Dogtown USA Jacksonville
The ten-step CGC certification tests the following:
- Greets a friendly stranger.
- Sits politely for petting.
- Welcomes being groomed, brushed; allows paws and ears to be handled.
- Walks as directed on a loose leash.
- Moves politely through a crowd.
- Sits, lies down and stays in place on command.
- Comes when called.
- Behaves politely around other dogs.
- Reacts with confidence to distractions.
- Can be left with a trusted person.
The CGC test is a requirement for owners and dogs interested in the pet therapy program.
