A DOG DAY AFTERNOON

First Quarter 2013
A DOG DAY AFTERNOON

A fun day for the entire community

Far Fetched Tales Dog Training will be there demonstrating Treibball a new herding game for dogs, and will perform some agility tricks.

Every dog must have its day and at the annual Dog Day Afternoon sponsored by JCP CARES, all comers have a special one. On Sunday, March 10, we are having our fifth annual celebration of all things canine. All proceeds will benefit S.A.F.E. (Saving Animals From Euthanasia), a St. Johns County organization that rescues, fosters and adopts out pets scheduled to be destroyed. The event will take place between 12 noon and 4 pm at Plantation Park in Julington Creek Plantation (875 Davis Pond Blvd. 32259). In past years hundreds of people, with their best friends in tow, have joined the festivities, coming from as far away as Jax Beach, Ponte Vedra and Orange Park. The popular event will feature dog washes, pet-i-cures (nail clipping), pet photos, a variety of vendors, a bounce house for human litter mates and an obstacle course for the dogs.
